New Catalysts Development in Asymmetric Synthesis

Chirality of organic molecules plays an important role in chemistry, medicine, and material sciences, however, the enantioselective synthesis of such entities is one of the most difficult challenges to us as organic chemists.  Our laboratory is interested in and focuses on the development of fundamentally new approaches to asymmetric synthesis by engineering new ligands and new metal complexes. Our goal is to discover novel methods for selective and efficient bond formations that will offer chemists the opportunity to devise new strategies for complex molecules syntheses.

Sustainable Process in Green Synthesis

Earth-abundant (base) metal complex has been proven as a powerful catalyst in green and effective organic transformations.  Our research group is concerned with the environmental acceptability and aimed to develop new strategies for the construction of interesting molecules using inexhaustible resources as catalysts, such as main group-metal or non-noble transition-metal based complexes.
